Bali : Lovina

---------- BESAKIH ----------

One of the biggest sanctuary on the island, which also is the oldest. Our guide told us a lot of very interesting explanations about the symbolism of the buildings : everything means something, from the number of roofs to the colours of the flags ! One the twenty-two temples is ecumenical, and thus to everyone who whishes to pray there.

---------- LAC BATUR ----------

The view from the road above the lake was gorgeous. You can see the Agung volcano in the background.

---------- LOVINA ----------

I found this town totally lacking of charm : it was full of noisy tourists. The only interest is that you can see dolphins (I must admit I'm a little embittered about this, for after I fell I wasn't able to ride boats anymore, and I had to stay at the hotel...), but here too you had to avoid the crowd of tourists to be able to see something. I thus have very little pictures of this place, this one was taken in the hotel.

---------- PURA ULUN DANU BERATAN ----------

We stopped there while going to Ubud. This temple is consecrated to the goddess of the Beratan Lake, Dewi Danu. When we went there, it was covered with mist, that gave him both a frightening and fascinating atmosphere. On this site, the hindouist temple, a buddhist stūpa and a mosque are neighbours.
