Bali : Ubud

---------- UBUD ----------

The city itself was so crowded ! A nice thing to do there is go for a walk in the ricefields around the town to escape from the noise. The path started just in front of the house where we rent rooms. We also went to see a Legong dance show that pleased me a lot, even if the other spectators' behaviour was getting on my nerves !

---------- DALEM AGUNG PADANTEGAL ----------

We were lucky enough to encounter a huge procession. The offering on the third picture was entirely made of meat and guts (for example on the little "umbrella") ; no need to say that the whole thing smelled pretty funny !

---------- MONKEY FOREST ----------

I didn't enjoy visiting Monkey Forest. It was a little too "Disneyland-like" to me, and I was frightened by the monkeys ! There are little pictures, and even them were not taken by me, I was too busy grabbing my sister out of panic !

---------- PURA TANAH LOT ----------

A gorgeous place, that we visited when going from Ubud to Seminyak, where we spent our last night. The way earth and sea meet around this temple is really fascinating.

---------- BONUS ----------

The picture was taken in Besakih. Notice the stiff pose and the tense smile of the girl whose back is ruined...

Tomorrow I'll tell you about the Neka Museum in Ubud and about our stop in Singapore, and we'll be done with holiday pictures !
